Tay’s 13th Birthday
October 18 was Taylor’s 13th birthday. He is officially a teenager now…YIKES!!! It started with breakfast in bed, of course and a couple of surprises. One was a new trampoline and one he wouldn’t find out till later in the day. We had a great surprise to take him to iFLY, indoor skydiving and Flowrider (an indoor surf) and iROCK (rock climbing walls). It was a thrill for Dad, Mom and Taylor to do the “flying”. They didn’t have enough people to do the flowrider or rock wall, so it would have to wait till another day. We went out to dinner at Wingers and had a FILLING dinner! Happy Birthday Taylor Rex West. He heard from all the family members today.

UEA at Lake Mead
For the Fall UEA break this year, we went to Lake Mead with Moe and Ari. We had a wonderful time with absolutely no winds and temperatures between 92-95. It was just beautiful!
Last year we went down with Moe, Jess and Tay for our first time ever. We really had a fun time.
Here’s a pretty woodpecker that was right by our camper at Echo Bay.
We camped at Echo Bay right on Lake Mead.
The one elbow to the left top of the picture is Morgan – flying!!
Tay, Moe and Dad, trying to jump.
Ari’s now a pro. She got up in 3 tries and went right out of the wake!
Here we are learning a new sport – wake surfing!

Saturday Ride on Ben Lomond
We wanted to take Tay on a LONG horse ride and decided to take him on one of our favorites; Ben Lomond, up the North Fork of Ogden Canyon. This is about a 4 hour loop and takes you on top of Ben Lomond Peak. We didn’t do the peak because it would have added another hour and we were worried about it getting dark and it was threatening rain the whole time. The fall leaves were about out of color but it was still gorgeous! The horses did great, We did great, and lunch was great too. It was a cold ride.
The leaves were all on the ground…shucks!
We got to see the first snow of the year here in the HIGH country. We were a wee bit cold up there. Winter is upon us!
